I am very happy to be part of AMAUTA.  As the Head of Studies, I am very pleased to be organizing the Spanish courses, working with lesson materials, programming the cultural activities, which I enjoy very much. AMAUTA recently opened it´s doors in Buenos Aires and we are proud to be part of this and will welcome you and your friend in this big, incredible city wich you will love, without a doubt!.

Working at Amauta has been, so far, the best experience of my life. I love making new friends and Amauta gives me this opportunity. I learn a lot from each student and I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the Spanish and the Latinamerican culture.

I love the experience of teaching spanish for foreigners, not only the language but also the culture of my country, Argentina! In times when people meet through the internet and interact through webcams, it's really nice to have and give the opportunity of meeting others face to face and of establishing human connections with people who get together to learn and share the beauty of a language (our mother tongue!). AMAUTA gives us a great chance of doing this!

Hello, I'm Luis and I had the chance to work in Amauta Cusco for a while. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to show students from all over the world how beautiful is our language, the spanish and my country, Peru. Now I have the amazing chance to work in Amauta Buenos Aires with such a great team. I love Buenos Aires and teach spanish in Amauta it's also a way for me to learn everyday something more of this interesting country, Argentina. I'll be glad to receive every week new and old students and not only show them the language but all the wonderful culture that Latinamerica has to offer.

Dar clases de español para extranjeros no es solamente enseñar una lengua. Enseñar español es, sobre todas las cosas, una experiencia de encuentro. Diferentes culturas se encuentran para compartir un espacio de aprendizaje común. Este intercambio intercultural es una experiencia única en la cual no sólo aprenden los estudiantes, sino también nosotros, los profesores. El aprendizaje es mutuo: todos nos enriquecemos compartiendo diferentes visiones de mundo. Amauta me da la posibilidad de ser parte de este hermoso viaje y de vivir con ustedes un pedacito de mi Buenos Aires querido.

Lo que me gusta especialmente de AMAUTA es que aquí la enseñanza del español se basa en el método comunicativo. Esto nos permite a los profesores mucha creatividad a la hora de dar las clases. Cada encuentro con los grupos es diferente. Siempre buscamos hacer que los estudiantes puedan utilizar su español para expresarse, aún en los niveles principiantes.

Además, las clases se ven enriquecidas por lo que los chicos aprenden fuera de la escuela. En Buenos Aires hay eventos culturales de todo tipo; y la "noche porteña", las charlas de café, las librerías y teatros de la calle Corrientes, la pasión del fútbol, son manifestaciones cotidianas de la vida social. Pienso que esto es un atractivo y un incentivo para los estudiantes que están interesados en practicar su español en la ciudad. Desde la escuela intentamos proveerles de una base importante para aventurarse a hacerlo.

I like teaching in Amauta for many reasons, but mainly because I enjoy seeing how my students live their experience. I love it when they start speaking Spanish with argentines or among themselves. It’s very interesting that they don’t just learn a language; they also can connect with our culture and visit Buenos Aires in a completely different way. Last but not least, being in Belgrano allows them to study in a fascinating city without the noises from the centre: our school is surrounded by big trees and stone streets.
