LEARN SPANISH & POLO
AMAUTA, always coming with innovating ideas, offers now the unique possibility to really get under the skin of rural Argentine culture: our “Spanish & Polo” program is designed for students who want to study Spanish in the heart of the Buenos Aires countryside whilst developing a passion for polo. Argentina, with it´s amazing gaucho culture, is the perfect place to do so, as the Argentina pampas are one of the best regions in the world for raising horses.
Our Spanish & Polo program course includes daily Spanish classes as well daily polo sessions, including theory classes. The Spanish lessons are taught by AMAUTA teachers, who will go with the group to the polo farm during the whole week; the polo lessons are taught by highly skilled Argentine professionals who dedicated their life to the polo sport. Polo is an extremely fun and highly addictive sport and during a typical afternoon, we play 3 or 4 “chuckers” of 10-15 minutes each in mixed teams. Our instructors work closely with you to teach or help improve your techniques and ensure your enjoyment so that you get the most out of your stay.
OUR POLO FARM
Our polo farm is located at approx. 250 kilometers from Buenos Aires and has three polo fields, riding instructors, vets and a hard-working team of staff on hand to provide you with an unforgettable vacation in a truly beautiful setting. All meals and accommodation are included and a laundry service is available.
Aside from the peace found on the farm, which most students find a welcome break from busy city life, we often organize other activities to break up the daily routine. Among the most popular is a “fogata” which usually includes a traditional Argentine “asado”, accompanied by local music and dancing.
