I am really happy to be part of a team that is so committed to its work. I love to welcome the students every Monday and celebrate with them on Fridays with a Pisco Sour. It is a great way to acknowledge their achievements once they receive their certificates ater they are finished their course.

GIOVANA ALEGRIA

Working in Amauta has given me the satisfaction to meet new people and to be in a nice working environment. Each day I have the chance to get in touch with cultures and customs from different countries through conversations with the students. These students also learn much about Peru through the AMAUTA school and their classes. Teaching Spanish to foreign students not only enlightens the students, but it enlightens me as well.

Here, apart from teaching the Spanish language, we share information about our culture, our lifestyle and our traditions. It is through learning a language that we become more aware of a particular culture. PAULA ARAUJO GAMARRA

Teaching Spanish at the AMAUTA Spanish School is a unique opportunity for me to not only teach Spanish to students from all over the world but learn from them as well. Not only do I teach the Spanish Grammar, Vocabulary, and the pronunciation, I have the chance to learn a lot about my students, their experiences, habits and I enjoy a special friendship with them. This is what makes my work very intense and extensive.

NANCY FLÓREZ PUMA

Hello, my name is Nancy Flórez I have a degree in education from the San Antonio Abad University in Cusco; therefore I am a licensed Spanish teacher. I am specialized in language and literature as well as Quechua and the history of Cusco. Thanks to my degree I understand and know a lot more about my origin and the Andean culture, which makes me value it more. At the moment I teach communication, Quechua and investigation at the public musician college in Cusco and I am a Spanish teacher at the prestigious AMAUTA School. I love working at Amauta because of the relationship with so many different personalities from various places around the world which enriches my work as a teacher as well as a person.

ELIANA GASTAÑAGA

Hello, my name is Eliana I was born in the city of Cusco which I am very proud of and it is a privilege for me to live here since the land is the birthplace of the famous Inca Civilization. I work as a Spanish teacher at the AMAUTA Spanish School. I enjoy working here since I have the chance to improve the methods and strategies of teaching Spanish every day for the new arriving students. I hope to gradually achieve my set goals and objectives with the students. I like to get to know people from different countries to enlarge my knowledge and relationships and let the students be introduced to the warmth of the Cusqueños, our hospitality, kind treatment, solidarity and let them know about our culture in order to make them at home in Cusco. I hope that every single student that comes to study at our school feels satisfied with the quality of our staff and teachers and learn a lot.

ELVIRA PEREZ PACHECO GUERRA

My name is Elvira Pérez The possibility to interact with people from different places gives me the chance to not only teach the Spanish language, but also share our history, culture, customs etc. and to get to know those of my students. Actually, I enjoy the opportunity to enlarge my vision of the world all the time through what I learn from my students while they do the same.

My name is Ricardo Ramos Miranda One of the most satisfying activities that one person could experience is that foreign students who are not aware of your culture, society, religion and especially the language can increase their knowledge which comes from us as guides and especially as friends. It can actually be said that being a teacher implies being able to manage different tasks depending on our activities. To be a teacher means exploiting the minds of the students to the fullest guiding them on the best road possible. SONIA MARTINEZ MORMONTOY

I am Sonia and I have been working at Amauta for 4 years. I am glad to say I have been working in a warm and friendly atmosphere. My working here has given me the opportunity to get to know wonderful people from all over the world. I learn a lot from their experiences, travel adventures, culture and society. Every day of class is full of new knowledge for me as for my students.
I have the opportunity to not only teach the language but also teach about my culture, traditions, history and explain certain topics related to the past and present time.
It is said that one cannot love what one does not know. Therefore I would like the students to know my country, my people and my city. I am sure that once they are here they are going to want to come back to know and appreciate it more.
